The Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies (IIS) facilitates interdisciplinary education in which you learn to look further than the boundaries of your field. IIS has 14 years of experience in different forms of education. As a knowledge centre in interdisciplinary education, IIS has a unique position in the Netherlands. IIS has two Bachelor’s and a Master’s programme; Bachelor’s in Bèta-gamma studies, a Bachelor’s track in Future Planet Studies and the Master’s programme in Brain and Cognitive Sciences. In addition, there are several courses in which students and/or people outside of the University of Amsterdam can participate. There are more than 1,500 students currently enrolled at the IIS.
