On October 22 and 23, 2009, the students of the Master Brain and Cognitive Sciences went on a studytrip to Birkbeck University London. They wanted to visit the Psychology Research Department and were very interested in the baby-lab.

Student Ruben Post made a report of the trip: ‘The annual study trip was a matter of great anticipation. Long before the actual departure, horror stories of smelly hostels, breakfast sausages, snoring colleagues, thieves, lost persons and alcohol consumption were spread around. Ah yes, and we were also going to visit a university in-between. This year's pick was Birkbeck University London, which might not ring a bell, but actually has one of the most esteemed psychological research departments of the country. But before being able to stand in awe in front of the university, a great obstacle had to be overcome.'
